Amazon Bedrock AgentCore CLI 1.0 reaches general availability

The 1.0 CLI lets developers create, deploy and operate agents from the terminal, either through a project workflow or directly.

Alongside it, AWS published a reference architecture for running agents at enterprise scale. It includes a control plane, per-workstream cells, separate inference and tool gateways, and CI/CD evaluation gates that each agent must pass before production.

This is AWS's answer to the Copilot harness Microsoft placed in Foundry the same day. Swami Sivasubramanian has called agentic AI AWS's next multi-billion-dollar bet.

Caveat: a Futurism report that Amazon is 'gutting' its AI division drew 371 points on HN, which clouds the narrative.
