OpenAI brings Codex to the ChatGPT mobile app on iOS and Android

OpenAI added its Codex coding agent to the ChatGPT mobile app on iOS and Android, letting users dispatch tasks, monitor outputs, approve commands, and switch models from a phone. Sam Altman is offering switching companies two months of free Codex usage for the next 30 days. The launch lands roughly eight months after Anthropic put Claude Code on mobile.
