Google retires Vertex AI brand, unveils Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform at Cloud Next

At Cloud Next in Las Vegas, Google folded Vertex AI services into the Gemini brand and launched the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform for building, scaling and governing AI agents. Forbes frames the bet as Google wagering that agents replace traditional apps in the IT stack. The consumer Gemini app is also getting a UI revamp shipping first on iOS.
