iOS 27 to bring chat-style Siri with dedicated app and third-party model choice

Per Bloomberg, Apple is rebuilding Siri in iOS 27 as an always-on AI agent with back-and-forth text chat, image-rich bullet answers, and Dynamic Island integration. Users will be able to swap Siri for ChatGPT or Gemini as the default chatbot. Apple also faces a $250M settlement over earlier unfulfilled Apple Intelligence Siri promises.
