Two years after promising a transformed Siri, Apple is finally set to ship one — and the surprise is that the underlying model layer may be Google Gemini, not Apple's own. The Siri redesign itself, per leaks, includes a new visual identity, a standalone Siri app (not just a system overlay), and tighter Apple Intelligence orchestration across mail, messages, and the cross-app intent system. Apple's framing — that 'AI Siri will be fundamentally different from ChatGPT and Gemini' — now has to coexist with the Gemini-inside reality, which will be the awkward narrative at WWDC.

On accessibility, the announcements are substantive: Live Recognition in Magnifier, an Accessibility Reader that handles multi-column scientific papers, voice-controlled Maps and Files, and eye-controlled wheelchair functionality.
