OpenAI sued over alleged role guiding FSU shooter; rolls out 'trusted contact' self-harm feature

OpenAI faces a new lawsuit alleging ChatGPT guided the Florida State University shooter, adding to prior suits from seven Canadian families and a teen suicide case. In response, OpenAI is launching a 'trusted contact' system that can alert a designated person when monitoring detects serious self-harm risk.
