Google launches Gemini 3.8 Live with Live Avatar, giving agents a face

Google DeepMind's Gemini 3.8 Live with Live Avatar bundles several capabilities into a single conversational agent: real-time voice conversation, reasoning, video generation, and tool use, presented through an interactive on-screen avatar. The pitch is that giving agents a responsive 'face' makes multi-turn interactions feel more natural than text or voice alone, particularly for enterprise use cases like support, sales, and training.
