GPT-5.5 lands on AWS Bedrock as OpenAI ends Microsoft cloud exclusivity

OpenAI's GPT-5.5 and GPT-5.4 are now in limited preview on Amazon Bedrock, alongside the Codex coding agent, with GA expected within weeks. The deal follows an amended OpenAI–Microsoft agreement that lifted Azure exclusivity, opening distribution to AWS and Google Cloud. OpenAI says GPT-5.5 is its strongest launch yet, with API revenue growing 2x faster than any prior release.
