OpenAI says users now generate more than 4 billion images a week, up from 3 billion in September.
Meta acquires Conductor to bolster its model pipeline
Vendor: Meta
Meta bought Conductor for an undisclosed price to strengthen its model-development pipeline. The deal continues a run of modest AI acquisitions, including Moltbook, Assured Robot Intelligence and Stilla. That pattern followed China's decision in April to block Meta's $2B offer for Manus AI.
OpenAI's autonomous pipeline finds and patches 948 Linux kernel privilege-escalation bugs
Vendor: OpenAI
OpenAI built an autonomous system that discovered, validated and generated patches for 948 local privilege-escalation vulnerabilities in the Linux kernel. The work, published as 'A thousand fewer paths to root', shows agents doing end-to-end vulnerability research at a scale far beyond manual auditing.
