YouTube expands AI likeness/deepfake detection to all adult users

YouTube is rolling out its AI likeness detection program to all users 18 and older. The system uses a selfie-style facial scan to monitor the platform for lookalike deepfakes and alerts users on potential matches — dramatically widening access to a tool previously limited to creators.
