NVIDIA launches 64GB DGX Spark at $4,999 for local AI

NVIDIA unveiled a 64GB unified-memory configuration of DGX Spark, priced at $4,999. Built on the GB10 Grace Blackwell superchip, it delivers 1 petaFLOP of FP4 compute with 273 GB/s memory bandwidth and runs open-weight models up to roughly 35 billion parameters locally.
Partner systems from Acer, ASUS, Dell, Gigabyte, HP and MSI ship from October 23 with DGX OS preinstalled. Two units can be linked for 128GB coherent memory and about a 1.7x speedup.
The pitch is avoiding cloud token bills, timely given this week's cost stories. Local-model builders are already running Meta's Muse Glimmer 30B on 24GB GPUs.
Caveat: 273 GB/s bandwidth limits token throughput, and r/LocalLLaMA's 'curse of 64GB' thread reflects frustration that 64GB is an awkward middle size.
