The pattern points to operational strain from explosive growth. Anthropic is scaling usage faster than its infrastructure can reliably absorb, which is precisely the context for two other Claude stories this week: the $1.25 billion/month, 300MW compute lease from xAI revealed in SpaceX's S-1, and Anthropic's newly confirmed in-house chip team.
