Google preps new Gemini model and 'Gemini Spark' agent for I/O 2026

Google plans to unveil a new Gemini model at I/O on Tuesday — roughly GPT-5.5 class but short of Mythos — alongside leaks of 'Gemini Spark,' an always-on agent for inbox triage, flight booking, and online workflows. Gemini 3 Flash has already overtaken Anthropic on Vercel's AI Gateway token traffic since April.
