Microsoft revokes Claude Code licenses, moves developers to GitHub Copilot CLI

Microsoft has begun canceling Claude Code access for thousands of internal developers and redirecting them to GitHub Copilot CLI, just five months after opening Claude Code access in December. Sources told The Verge Claude Code had become very popular inside Microsoft — making the rollback a political/commercial signal rather than a quality call.
