Mistral Small 3.1 Adds Vision and 128k Context in Compact Open-Weight Release

Mistral AI released Mistral Small 3.1 (24B parameters) with native vision understanding and a 128k token context window under the Apache 2.0 license. The model is designed to run on a single GPU and outperforms GPT-4o Mini on several multilingual and vision benchmarks per Mistral's internal evaluations. It is available via Mistral's La Plateforme API and as a direct download on Hugging Face.
