Standalone Siri app with auto-deleting chats and Gemini backend to debut at WWDC 2026

Per Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple will unveil a revamped standalone Siri app at WWDC 2026 in June with auto-deleting chat history (à la iMessage), a universal gesture to start conversations, and a privacy-first posture. The app runs on 'Apple Intelligence' combining on-device processing with Private Cloud Compute, and — notably — leverages Google's Gemini models under the hood. iOS 27 will also upgrade Genmoji with automatic photo- and keyboard-based suggestions.
