Google Integrates NotebookLM into Gemini, Adds Mental Health Tools, Interactive Simulations, and Gemini 2.5 Pro with 1M Token Context

Google fully integrated NotebookLM, its AI-powered research tool, into the Gemini app, allowing users to create and manage research notebooks directly within the chatbot interface. Separately, Google rolled out mental health response updates to Gemini following a lawsuit, stating that 'responsible AI can play a positive role for people's mental wellbeing.' The Gemini app was also updated to generate interactive simulations and models directly within chat — letting users manipulate variables like gravity and velocity — rolling out globally to Pro model users. Earlier this week, Google launched Gemini 2.5 Pro featuring a 1 million token context window for full-codebase and book-length document analysis, available through Vertex AI and Google AI Studio with multimodal input support.
