OpenAI, AMD, Broadcom, Intel, Microsoft, NVIDIA release Multipath Reliable Connection (MRC) for AI clusters

OpenAI announced Multipath Reliable Connection (MRC), a new open networking protocol co-developed with AMD, Broadcom, Intel, Microsoft and NVIDIA to make large AI training clusters faster and more reliable with less wasted GPU time. It targets the network-collapse failure modes that dominate large-scale training inefficiency.
