Amazon OpenSearch optimized engine now ingests agent traces via OpenTelemetry

Agent debugging is a growing pain point: multi-step sessions fail in subtle places that logs alone do not reveal. Unifying traces and logs in one engine lets teams follow an agent session from start to finish.

The launch pairs with Web Answer's GA to strengthen AWS's agent platform story, and it competes with Datadog, LangSmith and Arize. Mistral also added agent observability to Studio this week, which suggests observability is becoming table stakes for agent platforms.
