xAI Launches No-Code Voice Agent Builder on Grok Voice Think Fast 1.0

xAI released Voice Agent Builder, a no-code platform for building conversational voice agents on its Grok Voice Think Fast 1.0 model. The tool ships with more than 80 pre-configured voice tones and supports voice cloning from a user's own audio samples. Agents can be assigned dedicated phone numbers, and usage is priced at $0.05 per minute of API time.
The platform is in beta and squarely targets enterprise call-center and customer-service deployments — a market where OpenAI, Google (with its speech-to-speech pipelines) and a wave of voice-AI startups are all competing. The no-code angle is the differentiator, aiming at business users rather than developers, and the flat per-minute pricing makes cost modeling simple for contact-center buyers.
The launch fits xAI's push to make Grok ubiquitous across surfaces — the same week SpaceX showcased a Grok-powered smartphone prototype and xAI noted Grok Build is now installed in Railway sandboxes. Voice is a natural expansion vector for an assistant strategy.
The competitive bar is high: voice-agent quality hinges on latency, interruption handling and naturalness, and voice cloning raises consent and fraud concerns given how convincing cloned voices are. Watch beta feedback on latency and whether the $0.05/minute price undercuts incumbents enough to win call-center pilots.
