Apple unveils foldable iPhone Duo with multi-app Siri AI across dual displays

AI Analysis

The iPhone Duo is Apple's first foldable. Apple is selling it on AI as much as on hardware: Siri can read what is on screen and orchestrate tasks across apps on both displays at once, built on the A20 Pro chip.

The Duo follows Apple's broader October home push, which includes the HomeView hub, a new Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini 2. All of them run Siri AI with personal context and route complex queries through Private Cloud Compute.

The China rollout is complicated. Bloomberg reports Apple Intelligence reaches China in December via iOS 27.3 but without the new Siri features, which executives doubt will arrive soon. Alibaba's Qwen has been cleared as the local model.

It is also a big week for Apple partnerships, since Apple co-engineered Meta's Muse Spark Open to run on Mac Studios. Watch reviews of whether the multi-app Siri actions work reliably.
