Google DeepMind takes minority stake in EVE Online studio CCP Games to test agents

Google DeepMind acquired a minority stake in CCP Games, the Iceland-based studio behind the long-running space MMO EVE Online. DeepMind will use EVE's player-driven universe as a sandbox to evaluate AI memory, continual learning, and long-term planning at scale, calling it 'the perfect safe sandbox' for agent research.
