OpenAI acquired Weights.gg, the ~6-person startup famous for celebrity voice clones of Taylor Swift, Donald Trump and others. The team and IP join OpenAI with no standalone cloning product planned, raising questions about how the tech folds into existing voice products. OpenAI also launched Codex inside the ChatGPT mobile app — bringing code generation to its 4M weekly mobile users — and previewed personal-finance features in ChatGPT Pro.
