Microsoft launches Copilot agentic features in Office by default and introduces AI Max advertising platform

Microsoft announced Copilot can now take autonomous actions across Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, enabled by default but requiring user activation through prominent prompts. Microsoft also launched 'AI Max' and new 'Offer Highlights' advertising tools designed for the agentic web era, positioning Copilot conversations as a new advertising surface. Azure separately achieved GA for WireGuard In-Transit Encryption for AKS and launched the Foundry Toolkit for Visual Studio Code.
