DeepMind takes stake in EVE Online maker to train AI on MMORPG strategy

Google DeepMind acquired a minority stake in CCP Games / Fenris Creations, the developer behind MMORPG EVE Online, to train AI on player actions inside the game's complex economy and politics. Hassabis cited video games as a 'perfect training ground' for advanced AI algorithms.
